Yesterday was the first day of spring and I could feel it in my bones. I am of the sun and earth and feed deeply from the rays of light.
It was a full day of celebration starting with my morning meditation dog walk, met my friend at her house for hooping and dog kisses and then we headed downtown for cocktails, dinner and a belly dance show called the House of Tarot with Zoe Jakes from Beats Antique.
My heart felt full.
so yah. Today I wish I were feeling the same butterflies as yesterday. I was up all night sick. My mind and heart are feeling heavy with weird dreams and I am thinking too much lately which takes a toll on my body – oh the life of a sensitive.
So I am off to the river again, going to make a lovely vegan pasta with fresh veggies, shoot some, work on some online things, figure out the next Photo Booth and work on my garden.
Of course, you know I will share photos.
have a great day birds.
soak up the sun.

“Inwardly she was like nature, chaotic and irrational. She had no vision into this chaos: it ruled her and swamped her. It sucked her into miasmas, into hurricanes, into caverns of blind suffering.”  - Anaïs Nin, from Ladders To Fire

Last night Jeribella and I had a little trunk show at a super cute place over in North Asheville called Uncle Junebug’s General Store. There was so much eye candy it was overwhelming. I wanted literally everything. David and Houston were such amazing hosts and might I say… super adorable. So check out his Facebook page. His shop is filled with local artist goodies and vintage items.
Here are some photos from the shop. Maybe one day, my house will be this cool!
These gorgeous items are from my friend Mary lynn of In Blue. She is one of the most amazing people I have ever met and so extremely talented.
She also has a cool etsy shop.
The most handsome David Earle also has his metal work showcased. Not only can his voice swoon you and make you melt, he makes gorgeous metal art.
Check out his metal page and music page.
And David happened to catch me and Jeri… it was a lovely evening.

So I have some good news after lots of pondering this week. I move into a metal studio tomorrow to work like crazy throughout the winter and plus they have lots of cool tools. I am holding off launching my animal photography business until spring and will focus on just photographing shelter/rescue animals for the new photo blog. I hope in the next month to launch gyspy, wolf and willow – I have to get a logo done but this will be a super cool blog of diy projects, yummy vegan food recipes. herb stuff and animal miscellany. whew!
It’s all pretty exciting and fun! So I can’t wait to show you all the new things I will be working on this week. eel!
ps. just remember 15% of sales for the month of December will go to Boxer Butts and other Mutts to help with their expenses.
Animal rescue is not cheap, I know, so go visit their Facebook page and say hello!
