Where are the gypsy dogs?

by canyon critter on July 6, 2011

Well, it has been super busy this last week and not in a super productive way, but I think that is just how moving goes. We ended up moving to Utah on Friday and we will be here until Oct 15. I drove the  30′ Argosy solo for the first time and it was a bit stressful. We drove 50 miles an hour the whole way and had many angry people behind us, but I just kept snailing away. What only should have taken us 3 hours took us between 5-6. Oh well, better to arrive safe and slow than never at all.

Vegas wasn’t a good place for me and I didn’t feel like I could move forward there, so we are here in Utah, living in the airstream and saving some money for the next move. Where are we going next you ask? Well, I am not sure… I stopped trying to plan, but I am a planner, so maybe Austin, the coast or who knows…

The adjustment has been somewhat challenging as it has been a while since we lived in the airstream last and the DJS shop is also taking longer in adjustment than expected to get back up and running. So instead of getting super stressed out about things, I am trying to just go with the wind and let things fall and happen as they may.

I am unpacking things and trying to reorganize so I can start sewing again and finding space to work on the new projects. My yard opens up into a barn stalls so at night might be a great time to modge podge outside.

I am also working full time at night so trying to find my balance again with everything will take time as well.
So needless to say this is all about adjustment and time, I think.

So anyways, Hope you all are creating magic this week and eating popcicles in the sun!flower

Also, don’t forget to enter the giveaway a few posts below. It ends Friday!!

big changes on your end! where in utah are you? the south eastern part of utah is spectacular.. (before you come into moab and all that.. which is pretty amazing too) where there is nothing but sky and land and color, beautiful. hope you like your new town and i’ll be interested to hear where you head to next.. you know we love austin, sadly all but 2 counties in texas were just moved to the highest critical drought level there is, hope rain finds it way down there sooner rather than later. if you want to live in the airstream there, well ahead of time call pecan grove and see if you can get a spot, it’s the only rv place actually in downtown where you can bike/walk to everything but stays full all the time, with much planning ahead you could probably get in for a bit and i think you would Love it!

Thanks Tiffany! I am in Kanab, I have actually lived here off and on for 3 years, I used to work at the big animal sanctuary here. I do love being out of the vegas heat and I landed at a perfect monsoon season here. Not feeling Austin so much anymore… strangely. I have been devouring all the airstream travel blogs and I miss the ocean, so I am not sure where I will go next. I have three months to figure it out at least 😉 So glad to here from you!!
