So I am so happy to note that I am not the only person in this world that is what Cody Bear’s mom calls a “stress cat.” However, I can say that I am much, much better than what I used to be. But thanks to my dad and well…I have had worry/stomach issues since I was 8 years old. Image having to go to the doctor to get a tube up your butt filled with white, thick liquid to see what is going on in your insides and the conclusion…They didn’t know. Haven’t for years. That is where I came up with all my self-diagnosis chapters, plus holistic is better. However, these stupid canker sore just started last year and now they are all over my mouth causing EXTREME pain in my teeth. So much where I cried today at lunch trying to eat. Thank goodness it was just Saussie I was eating with. I believe these are from stress and lack of good nutrition which I was trying to do, but now that I can’t eat or even swallow my lysine pills or even water…I am back to just hoping they go away. I can’t tell you how bad this sucks, but what a wake up call to try and start eating better and all that stuff. Although, seriously, if you lived here you would eat the same way. These grocery stores suck beyond words and I like to go to the grocery store. The produce is crap and everything is WAY expensive. Let’s just say going is not a good experience for me, but I will buy the bad produce and crap if it will keep these ungodly things out of my mouth.

So there is my rant. I have to rant, because I can’t talk and someone needs to sympathize with me. hehe.

i used to get canker sores like crazy when i was in high school.
as you know, it was awful horrible. you writing about crying while eating, made me have to comment even though this is my first time on your blog. who knows when i will see you at work again.
i only get them every once and a great blue moon now.
only when i have a super high fever, am sick and stressed to ridiculous heights.
thank goodness! the main thing that caused mine was milk products and stress.
do you eat/drink much of those?
lavender and meleluca/tea tree oils help a ton too.

yah, they suck and the sinus infection isn’t helping. I sound awesome. I would probably say it is stress since I don’t drink milk or eat much dairy unless I go and get that yummy cheese bagel at the coffee shop 🙂 . How could anybody be stressed in Kanab, you ask? hehe! it happens, I guess in my world. I will try those remedies!

Erratum: I didn’t mean to write “bad food” but “dry food”.
Guess it was a Freudian slip :/
Sorry.

About Sally: is she on dry food at all at the moment?
If the answer is yes, switching her to wet food or wet food/raw meat should help a lot. Adding water to her wet food too, to help flush her bladder. That’s how I rid one of my cats of a nasty urinary tract infection.

Bad food is even worse for cats than it is for dogs, but in case of bladder problems I would stop feeding it if possible, and then increase her water intake by all means.

Hope this helps 🙂
Feel free to email me if you want to discuss this in detail.

yah, she is on very high quality wet food. she doesn’t have a UTI, that is the thing. he doesn’t know what she has. I will see how she goes today. i hope all my remedies will start working, I know they at least can’t hurt her. thanks for advice, though!

Oooh crap those hurt like HELL 🙁

My Mom gets them all over her mouth when she is stressed out too (I get hives and cold sores on my mouth, not quite as bad).

I hope homeopathy and good nutrition can help get rid of them fast… you could try chamomile tea to soothe the pain, or aloe vera juice – if you can find it in your horrible local store :/

Hope you feel better soon!
PS: What’s wrong with Sally’s blood in the pee thing?

I don’t know…I bought her some yogart, probiotics, kidni flo and apple cider vinegar. She has only been on it a day or so. I hope it clears up. I can tell, she doesn’t feel well.
I am taking in another urine sample on sunday, though. wish her luck.

Thanks for the advice on the tea and aloe. There is just nothing like a whole food, ya know! 🙂
