Peek Inside

by canyon critter on August 16, 2012

I have been painting, cleaning, waxing and sewing getting ready for the move in a few weeks. It is still messy, but slowly getting there. I still have couch cushions, prayer flags and I just cut a ton of fabric strips for my rag rug. All this in between working. I love so much that the mornings are so cool now. I love fall more than I can breathe and I think I am moving to Asheville at the most perfect time – it will be a picture perfect fall.

So here is a little peek inside the airstream, if you don’t mind the mess. Oh! and you can see my first blanket I crocheted. It is just a lap blanket – an ugly one, but I am sure Sally or Ansli will find it snuggle worthy. I am working on a bright turquoise/orange and pink one for my bed.

Also, the sale in the shop ends tomorrow. I added a few new necklace charms today.

Ansli is close to being able to get the collar she wants… so close 😉

Don’t forget tomorrow is her birthday! A stunning 12 years and she is as beautiful as ever.

Tuesday

by canyon critter on March 28, 2012

It has been a busy week. I have been spring cleaning and organizing. The curtains are coming a long and they are the cutest. I will post a photo when they are all done and up! I do have to say that my allergies are crazy right now. Is anyone else having issues with this? geez! I even got some drops to take 3 times a day – they are supposed to help. I even give sally a bath every two days to help her little allergies too.

curtains!

I also started to juice more. Since it has been so warm outside all I crave is fresh veg/fruit juice and smoothies. YUMMERS!

Busy bee

by canyon critter on February 12, 2012

I love my airstream more than anything and this is the first winter living in it. It is so cozy and amazing but a little challenging at times. I am using a workshop for my art projects for the etsy store, but that means my dogs have to stay in their kennels. I don’t like to leave them locked up for long periods of time, so I usually come over every hour to let them stretch their legs and if it is warm enough we all go on short walks. Since it has been colder, I really needed a small secure table to work in the airstream so I can rotate the pups and when I can’t sleep. So my awesome dad made me a small custom table where I can saw, sew and edit. I love it to pieces. I will solder and use all the chemicals in the shop, but I will get so much more cut out and done now. eek!

remember?!

by canyon critter on June 9, 2011

So remember the Argosy Airstream we renovated over the winter and it has just been sitting outside my door for 3 months – so lonely. Well, next week we will be moving into our sweet mansion – a few months way quicker than expected….

Before it was renovated it was  like way hard camping  – our water went out, barely had an air conditioner and no fridge. That wasn’t so bad, super great for losing weight! But man, with all this room and space it will be awesome sleeping under the stars. She has such great energy and is such a comfort and a breath of fresh air when I step inside. I love love my Argosy.

So new adventures await and so excited about all the new projects I have in my head. A little rocky getting them started with the transition, but AWESOMENESS is coming!!!

Did you see her from the beginning way back in Portland? Here ya go – click here.

Also, my friends over at Change of Heart Pit Bull Rescue desperately need help with their new rescue Hope. She needs an MRI which is super expensive – trust me when I say this because I was going to have to get one for phoebe. The need donations! So hop on over to my dog blog and see what is up with Hope! go here

ps. I really really want to get my phoebe tattoo before I go, but I am having trouble with the spot and such.

I was thinking:

a.her name right below my elbow in the forearm area.

b. her name on my interior wrist

c. her silhouette in a frame with her name below my elbow on the inner forearm.

don’t know if it will happen but arg! you know… her one year is coming up Aug. 30… still a while a way, but I miss girl so freaking much.

xo.

Weirdos.

by canyon critter on May 21, 2011

My dogs like to crawl under the airstream and hang out or dig holes or even pee. I don’t know why or they like to try and get on top of things because the floor or the bed or anything but what they already have is not good enough.

Samples below.

ansli

Even just halfway under. go figure…

sally

She is laying in the hole edi, honey and conrad so graciously dug.

sally

The bed apparently is not good enough, she has to lay on MY pillows.

sally

Of course, then she curls up and gets wrinkly like a little baby and I can’t help but just give in to her cuteness. Take all the pillows Sally. Take them all.
