So I got the t shirts ordered today. We stayed safe and did a silver grey and I could only order 15 with limited funds, but already so many people want one! Once they are sold, I can get more… Let me tell you about the shirt idea, ok?! I will not make any money off these at any point in the present or future. I have always had a goal to help other people and this has been an idea for years… all inspired by Sally.
I have 6 dogs that need vet care- 3 in dire need and 3 are having issues. Once I raise the money for all of them, the t shirt funds will go to help other rescue dogs in need or independent people. I am so excited about all the possibility of this project. So many people need help and many throughout the years have been huge in helping Sally. In fact, she would not be here if it weren’t for an amazing group of people all over the world to help with her vet care and surgeries. I am telling you, she has this amazing magnetic spirit that people are drawn to.
So we want to give back…
So here is a little update from her vet yesterday and tomorrow we are going for another round of shots and to check her weight and get chest xrays for her tumor and breathing. There is some type of super weird urinary infection but we are still waiting on the results. Let me first and foremost say, I have NEVER been a fan of western medicine. What I love about this vet is he is both holistic and western. I have had to come to the conclusion that Sally has been to vets all over from Portland, Utah, Vegas, Flagstaff… everywhere. Many vets have said they honestly can not believe the amount of pain she has gone through with her leg surgeries, most see her immune system and I think just blank out. I have had to realize these last few months, she is 14 now and I don’t want her to be in pain anymore. She is definitely not ready to cross – trust me, but her hormones are crazy off and having a few injections could straighten her digestive system out, so yah, I am gonna do it… For sally. My friend put together an amazing herbal program for her skin a few months ago, but in my gut something kept saying no… not yet. Honestly, I think I was scared that she has been so compromised that even going through a detox at that point could take her out, but I am hoping once she starts gaining weight again, I can get her on the herbal program and clear up all her yeast and bacteria problems. Already getting her off the food- even though an amazing brand, her ears are still better. I had added some potato and within a few hours she was itching, so now she is supposed to be on 4 pints of raw goats milk a day only until we can figure something out. Yah, that is $100 a week. haha! I don’t eat so my dog can, but that is what parents do, right?!
So yah, shirts will be $25 dollars on super soft alternative apparel and silver grey.
So I will be honest… It all hit me pretty hard today. I was in tears all day or holding back tears. I guess, just tired of feeling strong. I came home and smudged myself with sage and did a small meditation and started working. I have to keep moving forward – there is no choice and things will get better. I just have to keep believing that we are supported in all we do and I am just so grateful for everything. I know I say that a lot, but if you don’t live a life of gratitude you have nothing.
So from Dr. Jeff:
On her test, you can see her elevated estrogen (caused by inactive cortisol)
and low immunoglobulins. We focus on the IgA as it is most significant. When
it comes back above 58, her intestinal absorption will greatly improve. And
she will be able to absorb “active” cortisol (medrol) which will turn off
the “thermostat” that is currently causing the release of excess estrogen
from the adrenals… (I turned off the thermostat last week with the
depomedrol injection).
With the severity of her condition, I would like to follow Al Plechner’s
advice which is to start medrol and thyroxine. If she responds well, we can
consider migrating to acupuncture at some point.
Plan to continue the F3 and goats milk until we get additional food options
figured out.
ps. Many amazing people have emailed me and asked how they can help or give. Honestly, if you can help share my shop or blog or both and when the t shirts come out – help me network that… Man, that would just be so helpful. I am putting lots of affordable things in the shop this week and once the metal studio opens, I am working on these cute herbal bottle cap necklaces… can’t wait!
Some people have said they don’t want anything, they just want to donate, so I put a donate button on the top right corner of my blog.
Please know forever and always how grateful we are for you supporting my shop, supporting this blog, supporting my rants, for being there for my Sally and dogs, and just for loving us through all these years.
I love you. so. hard.

Will share all over and send you what I can. Zoey’s news was good (demodex is back but the mites are mostly dead so we continue with inexpensive drops for six weeks) and so I can afford to breathe out and help you more with Sally. You are an amazing dogmama.
You are a gift from the heavens, Jo. I simply adore you and thank you so much.
Keeping you and all your pups in my thoughts and sending healing vibes your way. I know some people don’t understand the deep connection we have with our pets, but they truly are a part of our family. Holding you all close love.
